Mission
The general mission
of The Institute for Learning and Performance Improvement is:
"
To provide leadership and innovation in workplace learning, training
and performance improvement by conducting collaborative research,
professional development and serving as a resource for best practices
information. "
The ILPI serves researchers
and practitioners in the corporate and public sector training and academic
communities, including:
- Training managers;
- Product and program
developers;
- Organization improvement
specialists;
- Internal change
agents;
- Human resource
specialists;
- Labor union training
leadership; and
- Corporate university
leadership.
Goals
- Research:
To conduct and disseminate collaborative research that tests concepts,
benchmarks best practices, and validates process models.
- Product/Process
Development:
To develop, study, validate, and disseminate innovative products and
processes.
- Professional
Development:
To create opportunities for practicing professionals to update and expand
their knowledge, attitudes, and skills.
- Service:
To serve as a resource on emerging trends in learning,
training, technology uses, and performance improvement.
